Tracey Embryologist

Bachelor of Biomedical Science / Bachelor of Science (Monash University)
Graduate Diploma of Reproductive Science (Monash University)
Master of Clinical Embryology (Monash University)

Tracey’s double degree focused on chemistry and physiology before she narrowed her focus to reproductive science and completed her postgraduate degrees in embryology.

Since joining us at No.1 Tracey has discovered a passion for reproductive education and is committed to increasing community awareness of fertility related issues.

Her current research interest revolves around the behaviour of embryos during their early divisions (for instance if one cell divides to become three instead of two), how this behaviour reflects on the rest of the cells in the embryo, and investigating how the embryo is able to sometimes detect those misbehaving cells and “exclude” them from the developing embryo.
