Costs

The Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) provides a rebate for out-of-pocket costs for out-of-hospital services (including GP and specialist attendances). The Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) provides an additional rebate for those whose costs go over an annual threshold.
The Medicare Safety Net threshold for 2023 is $2,414.00.

To be eligible for a Medicare rebate you will need to provide a valid referral from a GP or specialist prior to attending appointments and commencing a cycle.
We suggest obtaining a referral from your GP as this will be valid for 12 months where as a specialist referral will only be valid for up to three months.
Ensure that your name and partners name (if applicable) are stated on the referral.

Once your treatment cycle has been completed, No.1 Fertility will lodge a claim to Medicare on your behalf. A rebate will be will paid into your nominated bank account within 3-5 business days post lodgement.
