Dr Hayden Waterham is a gynaecologist, sonologist and fertility specialist.

Hayden see’s patients at number 1 fertility (Jolimont, East Melbourne) and publicly in the ultrasound department and early pregnancy clinic at the Royal Women’s hospital (Parkville, Melbourne).

Hayden has post graduate qualifications in ultrasound (DDU) and reproductive medicine (MRMed) and is interested in;

1. Early pregnancy, miscarriage and recurrent miscarriage.
2. Ectopic pregnancy.
3. The influence of fibroids and adenomyosis on reproductive outcomes
4. Ovulation induction and alternatives to IVF
5. The diagnosis of (fallopian) tubal obstruction with ultrasound.
6. The therapeutic benefits of tubal ‘flushing’ under ultrasound guidance.
7. Genetic and anatomical screening in early pregnancy.

Hayden previously worked as an obstetrician but now focuses on guiding families through the challenges of subfertility and infertility. His long-term professional goal has been to provide women and their families with the highest quality, evidence-based safe and continuous care.

He strongly believes in being open and honest. He takes patient privacy seriously (you won’t find him on social media!) and acknowledges and manages patients by seeing them in the context of their professional, extended social and family life. Hayden is married to a developmental paediatrician, Dr Michelle Waterham and has four children.
