Shirley began her professional life as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, before realising that putting the babies in was much more interesting than taking them out!

Following her postgraduate studies in embryology, Shirley moved up to Sydney and completed her training years at Westmead Fertility Centre before returning to Victoria, where she spent over 10 years as an embryologist in a busy Melbourne clinic before finally joining us at No.1 in 2020.

Shirley is responsible for overseeing the training and development of our embryologists, ensuring that the team are constantly learning and developing new skills.

Shirley is also fluent in Mandarin and very happy to answer all of our patient’s embryology questions.
