Embryo Identification & Witnessing
No.1 Fertility Embryology & Andrology Laboratories
The Embryology and Andrology Laboratories at No.1 Fertility Melb & Sydney are purpose-built to deliver scientific excellence, precision, and safety at every stage of the fertility journey. Designed and operated to the highest international standards of quality control and compliance, our laboratories help ensure the very best outcomes for every patient.
Our facilities feature state-of-the-art incubators, imaging systems, micromanipulation technology, and advanced environmental monitoring, enabling precise control of every condition that influences egg, sperm, and embryo development. Every process—from culture media preparation to embryo transfer—is monitored under rigorous conditions, with multiple safeguards in place to protect all frozen and stored reproductive materials under continuous, validated surveillance.
To maintain absolute reliability, our laboratories operate on an uninterrupted power supply system supported by backup generators. This ensures laboratory function remains stable and secure at all times. In addition, our cryostorage rooms are equipped with infrared scanning devices, weight monitoring scales and in-tank temperature sensors to continuously monitor environmental consistency. Every piece of equipment is tracked through multiple layers of 24/7 back-to-base monitoring systems, alerting our team instantly to any variation in conditions—providing complete confidence that every gamete and embryo is protected.
Expertise and Capabilities
Our laboratory provides the full spectrum of assisted reproductive technologies, including:
- Egg retrieval and fertilisation by conventional IVF or ICSI
- Continuous embryo development monitoring and morphological assessment
- Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) for chromosomal and single-gene conditions
